The owners were friendly. they provided suggestions for nearby dog walks. the location was perfect. It was near the lake, shops, and pubs. i liked having filter coffee and a cafetière in my room. i found my four nights there peaceful and clean.
the decor looked a little tired.

great location comfortable bed good supply
the location is fantastic and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. the room was warm and clean and included a comfortable bed. there was a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits readily available.
i found sound proofing between rooms inadequate and easily heard noise from adjacent rooms.

adequate location, but some issues
handy location boat trips helpful staff compact room main road dog barking
the location was pretty handy, a few steps to the lake. it made visiting the lake district without a car very easy. i found easy access to boat trips and bus rides to hikes. the staff helped with my bags and walking frame.
the room i was in felt quite compact and limited space. this is best for travelers that got only little luggage. i noticed some noise during the night because its located on the main road. i could hear barking from dogs outside.

excellent location public car dated decor noisy system
the location is excellent, it's right in the heart of things. everything i needed was on my doorstep. the public car park was right next door (it cost £21 for 24 hours).
the decor and carpets were quite dated and needed an uplift. the toilet and water systems were noisy. i could hear everything from neighboring rooms.

The location is superb! I walked to all the points of interest. The room was clean, functional, and cute. It featured a very comfortable bed and silence.
